Jung's Hardy Pear 4-6 ft

Crisp, sugary sweet and very hardy! They will keep several weeks. Great for fresh eating and canning. Small to medium sized fruit is golden with a red blush and roundish form.

Ripens late September. Pick early and allow to ripen in side or store cool.

Pollinate with another communis type pear.

Sadly uncommon around here. Pears are a great fruit for Central Vermont. Pears suffer from fewer pests and diseases than apple trees, making it easier to grow high quality fruit. Plant 20-30 ft apart.

Pear Pollination: Plant at least two different varieties of pear. Some trees produce very little pollen and make poor pollinators. If planting a poor pollinator, plant at least two other varieties. The more the merrier!
