Nanking Cherry 1-2ft Whip

A hardy cherry shrub, producing bright red tasty tart cherries. Great for fresh eating, processing or for the birds. Similar fruit to montmorency though a little smaller.

Shrubs can grow 6-8 ft high and wide and in a good year can be very productive.

Plant at least 2 for good pollination. A solo plant may produce a little.

They benefit from good well drained soils and good air flow to minimize impacts from fungal and bacterial disease. Seedling vigor means they can be long lived even if they have a bad season, just cut out any diseased or damaged wood over the winter.
