American cranberrybush or Highbush cranberry is a vigorous native shrub that produces bright red berries that persist into winter. Used in sauces or jam but perhaps best for the birds.

Viburnums are a large genus of native, non-native and cultivated shrubs. Typically creamy flowers are followed by red to black fall berries. They feed birds, pollinators, and other beneficial insects.
