Easy to grow adaptogen tonic! the root has long been used medicinally, with similar properties to the much more rare and slow growing wild ginseng, Eleuthero or Siberian Ginseng is in the same family.

Grows as a rounded shrub, 6-8 ft. tolerates dappled shade. It flowers very late in the season (up to and through the first frosts), and is very popular with the hungry pollinators. Produces clusters of small edible berries in the fall, but they don't typically ripen fully in our climate.
