Heartnut 1-2 ft

Heartnut (Juglans ailantifolia) is a Japanese species of walnut with large and easy to crack out nuts. Plants are very vigorous and moderately cold hardy. New growth on younger plants may suffer winter damage. They are worth experimenting with but not a sure thing in Northern Vermont.
